IV ALL-RUSSIAN CONGRESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IS THE FINAL EVENT OF THE YEAR OF THE ENVIRONMENT
The Congress is the largest discussion forum for professional environmental community. More than 2000 people from 83 regions of Russia will participate in the event. Delegates will include civil society activists and representatives from the government, Russian and international companies, academic and social organizations. III All-Russian Congress of Environmental Protection was held on November 2003.
Each region of Russia will hold a conference to select candidates for the Congress.
The event will show the latest achievements in the field of environmental protection. The event also aims to develop proposals for improvement of environmental legislation in Russia. The participants will share opinions in an open discussion about the most pressing issues related to improving the environment.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev are invited to take part in the event.
As a result, the Congress will draw the provisions for resolution, which will be put to the vote of the delegates. After that the document aimed at consolidating the position and the latest works of the environmental experts, scientists from related fields, business people and community activists, Russian and world politicians will be adopted. This resolution will be the basis for future work of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and formulate the basic principles of the environmental policy of the Russian Federation.
The final resolution of the Congress and the decisions made during the course of its work will determine the strategy of development of our country in the field of environmental law for many decades to come.
The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources is the main organizer of the event.
